M2B Millennium II BASIC Single Channel Transmitter


The M2B single channel universal transmitter is designed for the most demanding, industrial applications that require a local, full-featured transmitter interface but do not require a character display. The Millennium II BASIC includes bright LED indicators for Power/Alarm/Fault conditions with an optional local HART® interface and WirelessHART® communications.

Sensors can be easily exchanged, with NE-MOS Solid StateElectrochemicalInfrared and Catalytic Bead sensor technologies available. The Millennium II BASIC transmitter automatically recognizes any connected pre-calibrated sensor and maintains an uninterrupted digital signal between them, providing fast response times and over 2000ft (600m) sensor separation.

The straightforward, non-intrusive commands in Class1 Div1 areas are accessed via the included external magnet and bright LED indicators. Add our optional intrinsically safe HART® port adaptor for access to the built-in data logging and advanced diagnostics, right at the transmitter via a hand-held communicator.

SMART Sensor Compatibility – Truly Universal Transmitter
A truly universal transmitter, the M2B can be fitted with a full range of both toxic or combustible gas sensors. SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) sensors are pre-calibrated and easily connect to the transmitter which automatically recognizes a newly fitted sensor and uploads it’s specific configuration profile.

Enhanced Communications
The Millennium II BASIC comes equipped with optional Analog, Relay, RS485 Modbus RTU, or HART communications, making integration with external safety equipment seamless.

Widest Input Power Range
Allows for longer sensor separation (+2000ft.) using lighter gauge cabling which means lower installation costs and increased system stablility by allowing greater voltage drops. Serious conditions can occur during voltage drops when other detectors will stop functioning or go into fault mode.
